Sorting all the different kinds of household waste can be a bit of a pain. And if the current situation wasn’t bad enough, local councils will soon have to collect paper, metal and glass separately as well. So if you’re struggling already it’s about to get worse. There are, of course, products available to help you out but an all-in-one solution would be ideal?
JosephJoseph Totem – with this in mind JosephJoseph have devised what they call an ‘Intelligent Waste System’. It’s a large bin with separate compartments for general, recycling and food waste. The top part with a brushed steel lid has a large section for everyday refuse and a removable food waste caddy. The lower part has a pull-out drawer with sections you can utilise to suit. It’s a smart idea best suited for a single person but no way large enough for a family. £199 from johnlewis.com
