Not so long ago amazon started selling their own chrome storage racks as part of their basics range and now it looks like John Lewis are doing the same. Not just the same idea but more or less the same rack? It’s not exactly the same, the amazon 5 tier version is a bit smaller.
The idea is fairly simple, why sell stuff for other people when you can have it made for yourself and keep all the profit? It makes sense, I guess, especially since you are not forfeiting anything in terms of quality.
However, given that amazon’s version is a fair bit cheaper you might wonder what’s the point of paying the extra for John Lewis? The only difference (apart from the the bigger size) being that amazon no longer sell the 3 tier option. And, rather than selling the hanging rail as an accessory they sell a separate unit with it included. I guess you pay your money and take your choice?
